Why does it need Accessibility and Microphone?
Microphone, to hear you while you hold the key. Accessibility, to notice the key anywhere on the Mac and to type the text into the app you're using. It never reads your screen.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After the one-time model download on first launch, dictation needs no connection at all.
Which languages?
English, all accents. The model is English-only by design; that's what makes it this accurate and this fast.
How is it different from Wispr Flow?
Wispr Flow transcribes in the cloud (its own docs say transcription always occurs on the cloud) and is a subscription, $12 to $15 a month. TypeVoice transcribes on your Mac's Neural Engine, so your voice never leaves the machine, it works offline, and you buy it once. Wispr Flow covers 100+ languages; TypeVoice does English only, and does it very well. Side by side.
What happens after the trial?
Dictation pauses until you buy it, once. A license key arrives by email; paste it into the License tab (or click the link on the thank-you page) and you're back. Everything you dictated stays in Summary.
Is the code public?
Yes. TypeVoice is open source under the GPL v3 at github.com/warplabshq/typevoice: read it, audit it, build it. What you buy is the signed, notarized build with automatic updates and support, and it's what keeps the project going. The name and icon stay ours, so a fork can't be mistaken for the real thing.
Is it on the Mac App Store?
No, on purpose. Sold directly, TypeVoice can type straight into the field you're in through Accessibility instead of pasting, and updates ship the moment they're ready. The app is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple, like any other Mac app you download.
Is the price the same everywhere?
Almost. It's $79, charged in your own currency, plus tax where it applies. Five countries have a price set for local purchasing power: ₹2,499 in India, and $24 in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt and Nigeria (the team key ₹9,499 and $89). The checkout goes by the billing country you enter. Same app, same license, same updates.
Can I use one license on more than one Mac?
Yes: a personal key works on two Macs at once, typically a desk Mac and a laptop. Moving to a new Mac? Press Deactivate this Mac on the old one and the seat is free. For a team, the team key covers 5 people with two Macs each.
How long can one dictation be?
As long as you like up to ten minutes; at that point the words so far are typed and you carry on with the next one. Pauses are fine, however long: think, then keep talking.

How do I uninstall it?
Quit it from the menu bar and drag it to the Trash; nothing else is installed. To remove your data and the speech model as well, see Support.
